I worked as part of the Content Hub Team to effectively create digital solutions, using my proven experience in planning, facilitating, designing, developing and analysing usability testing. I challenged problems and devised simple design solutions by using my creativity, experience and technical analytical skills. I created outstanding user interfaces that were not only intuitive but highly functional. During my time working for the department, I built solutions across many different domains, including big data dashboards, live infographics, master data management, virtual reality and portal sites.

As part of the UX engineering team working from Jadu's global headquarters in Leicester, UK I used the latest front-end technologies in Jadu's software, which meant things like Sass, Grunt, Bower, jQuery, Git and Composer. I developed front-end frameworks for clients based around all of Jadu's products. I undertook UX research, working closely with customers, users and project managers to discover requirements and perform usability testing to refine my concepts.
I efficiently communicated ideas through sketches, wireframes, prototypes and whatever other tools and techniques I felt were right for the situation. A strongly detail-oriented visual designer, familiar with designing and building user interfaces for complex software that was intuitive and a delight to use and with the ability to see the big picture, as well as obsess over the details, understand web standards and build for accessibility and write modular, reusable code.

Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of high-quality cross-browser user interfaces based upon best practices and industry design standards. This involved the design, development and maintenance of user interfaces and components, to produce high-quality user experiences for clients who interact with any of the organisation's web-based systems, including its market-leading web-based application FleetWave. I created Web, UI & UX designs, addressing wider issues such as accessibility and bandwidth & continually designed, developed and maintained a high-quality corporate website in line with the organisation's marketing guidelines, industry design standards and additional requirements.
I created and updated documentation with regard to web, app & marketing assets. I contributed to all design related discussions within the organisation, continuously developing my own skill set and reviewing new technologies to improve my skill set. I am so lucky to have Michael in the team, few people have the chance to work with a designer who is not only great at what he does but also a good personality; luckily I had the opportunity while working with Michael.
Michael’s work is of very high standards and exceeds even the most “picky” expectations and he has earned my respect and admiration as a solid and knowledgeable resource at Content Hub in TUI Group. He is fantastic on early prototyping and wireframing for projects and his communication with customers during the meetings and demos is outstanding, clear and ready to explain the work whilst listening and implementing required changes.

Michael is UX Designer CIO at The Content Hub and responsible for user experience designs across the majority of the projects; often working on multiple projects at once, never failing to deliver amazing solutions.
Michael has always collaborated his work with developers to ensure it fit the requirements and allowed for easy implementation. His work has always impressed our customers, who often asked why solutions from other parts of TUI don’t have as good a look and feel and how he managed to achieve it.
Even though Michael’s job was to create designs, it didn’t stop him from exploring other areas of development and he has done an amazing job learning JavaScript and jQuery to deliver complex solutions. In the last few days of working for TUI he has even started learning Angular.
During development cycle Michael gave a lot constructive criticism and analytical feedback on the solutions, which has helped The Content Hub to deliver better products. Working with Michael has always been a pleasure as he is always happy to assist with any issues or questions, often finding new, better ways.
